This will be my first Dennis Lehane read, and about time it is. Much of the reason I have yet to read his books is that I don't usually prefer the suspense genre, but this book seems right up my alley, meaning both an historic piece and a workingman's pride kind of theme. And honestly, I have realized, sometimes you just have to throw in the towel and see what all the fuzz is about.
