This lyric is so fetching and beautiful. It can and most certainly has been interpreted in thousands of different ways, as is what makes it so magically easy to relate to. To me this song has always been about myself,  and how it may be hard to for me to change and move forward, while leaving the self I've relied relied on for so long behind.
